At the International All-Breed Show in Israel, our good
friend Gregory showed Dreamer, Joval Dare to
Dream on to Victory...
After winning the Rosette for Best of Breed, Dreamer went on to win the Best in
Group Trophy.
Then... Gregory showed him in the Best In Show ring....and, while they were
awaiting the judgment,
there was orchestra fanfare before the announcement with Dreamer winning the
Best in Show Honor!
With this very prestigious win, Dreamer earned a paid
ticket to the World Dog Show in Bratislava
where he will be a representative of Israel in 2009. Dreamer also won an huge
bag of food to enjoy
and an even bigger trophy for the display case. We just count NOT be prouder!

"Enzo"

Enzo is a wonderful JOVAL youngster who finished
his championship very quickly...
in all taking
less than 2 months of occasional showing. He
will now
retire to a life
of being a couch potato and
family companion but remains available at stud
through JOVAL Kennels as he has much to offer in
this capacity.

On Sunday September 7th, Ben won the Best of
Breed...Won Group 1st...then earned a Best In Show 6 !!
This was at the Swedish Kennel Club show in
Öland.
As always, Ben was expertly handled by
Börje
(pictured) and
we are VERY proud of them both.

At the International SKK Show in Sofiero, Mason won BOB and
was placed 3rd in the Group.

BIS Int CH Joval Angel's Kiss in Canfield...
At both the Steel Valley and the Northern Ohio Specialties, Krissi won Best of
Breed over
a very competitive entry.

"Mason"
A BRILLIANT weekend for Mason !!!
On Saturday, Aug 18, at the Nyköping International Show, Judge Mats Lindborg of
Sweden selected Mason for the dog Challenge Certificate,
his third, and thus made him a Swedish Champion!!! He also earned the CACIB and BOS.
Congratulations to Buffy also for her
first Certificate, CACIB and also for Winning the Breed.
On Sunday, Aug 19, at the Norrköping National Show
under Judge Svante
Frisk of Sweden, Mason and Buffy won again,
this time with Mason earning the best of Breed and Buffy winning BOS. Later that
day, Mason was short listed in the group!

Immediately following is the link to Patrica Alsina's "full" article on her travels which include her thoughts as the World Dog Show Judge in Stockholm. I have taken the liberty to excerpt a few lines specifically poignant to JOVAL. Our sincere thanks to Patricia and her husband Roberto for their recognition of JOVAL dogs in Sweden... and thank you VERY much for the kind words below...
...Roberto's Best of Breed was an American female. His comment: "Gorgeous. She caught my eye as soon she entered the ring in the open class". It seems that he was quite right, since the same bitch won the breed both at the Group Show (judged by the Irish judge Kealy Susan), and in my own ring at the World Show on Saturday...
...judged Airedales (101) on Saturday, and the same bitch was my best of breed. She's exquisite, beautiful type and quality, absolutely sound, excellent grooming and an unusual attitude: her breeder-owner handler did not touch her at all, she posed by herself. "Fix your feet", she said, and the dog did it! Amazing! This bitch made the final cut (only 7 exhibits) in the competitive terrier group, which ultimately produced the Best in Show dog) She was the same bitch that won best of breed at Crufts earlier this year...

At the
MIERCUREA CIUC Show held on June 10,
Morris won the Certificate, Best Junior, Best Dog, Best of Breed, Group
I,
and ultimately a BEST IN SHOW III under judges Pipas Lucian (Group) and Petru Muntean (BIS).
VERY WELL DONE and Congratulations Atilla...

JOVAL Dominates the Canadian National Specialty...
As never before, JOVAL Airedales "ran
the table" at the Canadian Nat'l Specialty Weekend Shows.
In the 4 shows held (2 Saturday & 2 Sunday), Krissi, Ozzy & Rachel won BOB, BOS,
WD & WB at every one
as well as Ozzy going on to win Best in Specialty Show at the Terrier Breeder
Assoc. of Canada Specialty.
Krissi & Ozzy shared winning Best Of Breed (2 each) with Krissi winning BOB at
the
Canadian National Specialty for the Second Year in a Row!
When it was all over, JOVAL brought home 2 new Canadian Champions and lots of
cool rosettes ;)
Sincere thanks to judges Ken McDermott and Rhonda Davis for these very special recognitions!!!
Thanks also to all of the new friends we
made while "north of the border" who welcomed us at their specialty.
We appreciate your kindness and camaraderie and hope to be able to return the
favor in the states.

We had another good day yesterday with Mason...
he was Best of Breed under Norweigan Judge Petter Steen
(a kerry breeder).
Mason also was pulled out in the first round of 8 or 10 in the group. The Group
Judge was Lilian Lleton (a scottie breeder),
who former wife of Kevin Brown,
so she "should" know how a good Airedale
should look. We were very pleased with that!

From the Canadian Column, The Winners Circle .... Valeria and John Rickard of JOVAL Airedales are VERY proud of their successes this past year. 2007 year began with Krissi - Am & Can CH Joval Angel’s Kiss – winning Best of Breed at Crufts in England. Soon after, Krissi won at the Canadian National Specialty, thus earning her Canadian Championship and ultimately making her #1 Airedale in Canada. Joval dogs finished out the year with un-matched successes at the Montgomery Weekend Specialties where: Krissi won 1st Award of Merit at the Montgomery show as well as both Hatboro I & II, bring her total to 3 for the weekend; Ozzy - Am CH Joval-Arily Grand Illusion – Finished his championship in style by going Best of Winners at the Devon Show then, the Next day, Ozzy went R. Winners Dog at the Montgomery show; Not to be out done, Ozzy’s littermate Sophie - Am CH Arily-Joval Show Me The Way – also finished that same day by going Winners Bitch at the Devon show one day after winning Winners Bitch at the Hatboro II show. To round out the Weekend’s success story, our youngest girl, Rachel - Joval Keeping the Faith - earned Best Bred By Exhibitor at Montgomery as well as winning RWB at the Hatboro II show.
In all
JOVAL Airedales won a total of 9 placements that weekend. This list of
accomplishments would be incomplete without mentioning that Krissi - Am & Can CH
Joval Angel’s Kiss was #1 Airedale Bitch in the U.S and Jack – Eng. & Am CH
JOVAL Jumpin’ Lack Flash at Jokyl was #1 Airedale in England for the second
straight year. |

Jan 4th 2008, Mason won CC, int.CC & BOB under Mr Rui Oliviera,
Portugal There were 16 Airedales on the first day and 18 on the second. This was a good entry with several dogs from abroad. Many people around the ring liked him very much and made extremely positive comments...
